The World Maker Faire in New York begins this weekend. It will be an action-packed educational event with over 500 makers and thousands of attendees. But one thing stands out this year, and it comes from a large corporation, not a DIY or maker company: $100,000 in college scholarships for students interested in STEM fields.
Cognizant, a business and technology services firm, will launch the second year of its US College Scholarship program on October 1st, the day after the Faire.
