Moving the Economy: The Future of the Maker Movement

The idea of the brave new entrepreneur is fascinating – the inventors, designers, builders, tinkerers – these are part of what I like to call the Maker Movement; people who have the power to change the world and more immediately fix the ailing economy.

Steve Jobs urged in his iconic speech from 2005 at the Stanford Commencement, to follow our hearts and our intuitions. His thoughts exemplify this trend which I have been following for a while. Here’s a pick of the posts on the Maker Movement from Wired, PBS and Anil Dash that I recommend.
