Google Serves Makers and Hackers

It was a small machine shop, metal tools, a wood workshop, and a welding workshop in 2005 and is now a high end, hands-on facility filled with fabrication equipment, testing equipment, even a plasma cutter. It’s the Google Workshops, a rather awesome employee perk to work on both Google inventions and personal projects.

Google inventions include the Google Street View App, self driving cars, the Liquid Galaxy, and even stuff like a personal bicycle from scratch, a baby crib, and an electric vehicle – Dan Ratner is one of those makers at Google who contributed to Google Street View.
